Areas of Impact


Church Development

 

Achieved a nearly 300% congregational growth from a average Sunday attendance of 88 to 315.

Stimulated the annual operating budget from $250k to $1M leading to doubled staff and multiple outreach partnerships with ministries like the International Justice Mission, Samaritan’s Purse and Ocala Migrant Farm Worker ministry.

Spearheaded 8 capital campaigns resulting in an additional $3M in capital improvement funds.

Overhauled the Grace Episcopal Church brand and online presence, which increased website traffic over 100% leading to 1,000 monthly site sessions.

Implemented the virtual church environment as a response to COVID which actively brings hundreds of people weekly to Grace Episcopal’s live online service.

Initiated the Grace digital marketing campaign focused on new member engagement, averaging a reach of 10,000 and 2,000 engagements per campaign.


Community Programs & Outreach

 

As a member of the Standing Committee was responsible for establishing and overseeing the Bishop election process, the Search Committee, and Transition Committee. Upon becoming President of the Standing Committee, had direct oversight of hundreds of volunteers, managing finances, volunteers and staff for the Consecration of the Rev. Dr. Justin Holcomb.

Launched Grace Clinic Christian Counseling (satellite) office in Ocala, FL, currently supporting 40 people weekly in their spiritual and mental health.

Charted and actively led 15 cross cultural mission experiences to date. The next mission will be a church pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in the summer of 2022.

Implemented and currently leading the Alpha course for hundreds of people who have had their faith questions answered. Several had come into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Curated and written Lenten programs that have engaged parishioners with topics like solitude, Bible reading, prayer, race, immigration, mass incarceration, comparative religions and many more.

Solicit and edit Lenten journals yearly, containing 40+ devotionals guided by church parishioners.

Enacted the Be the Church campaign where Grace replaced conventional church service once a year with community outreach initiatives such as serving disabled community members.

Instituted and currently managing a program of Christian discipleship groups focused on growing participants understanding of faith, building accountable relationships and developing friendships with the non-Christians in their lives.


Pastoral Courses & Mentorship

 

Pioneered the Grace Residency Program, which has supported multiple candidates for ministry in their journey to the priesthood through guided curriculum and pastoral mentorship over the past six years.

Architected the Grace Residency Program from idea to a diocesan flagship program that has produced multiple associate priests. Inspired a diocesan residency program, serving as the lead consultant to diocesan churches locally and nationally.

Developed and led a course on changing paradigms for leadership for ministry candidates, which serves as a course requirement to become a vocational deacon. 

Wrote and taught a yearly seminar on race and ethnicity at Nashotah House Seminary, reaching 200 seminarians and faculty.

Curated a course on stewardship principles, which is provided virtually for clergy in the Diocese of Central Florida.


Youth Development & Education

 

Founded and instituted the Grace Episcopal Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) serving 200 children and their families over 7 years.

Managed the Grace Episcopal VPK program including 8 employees, a $130k operating budget and achieving a fundraising target of $20k year-over-year.

Achieved status as the top-rated local VPK within its first 2 years of development out of the 40 eligible Ocala VPKs evaluated on program curriculum, care, scholarships and community engagement.

Created and chaired the Grace School of Music encompassing 100 students and 7 employees resulting in $50k for church stewardship initiatives.

Spearheaded a partnership with an on-campus K-12 Christian School that currently supports 200 students and their families yearly in their educational and spiritual development.
